Volunteering

Every year brilliant volunteers join the Brighton Marathon team and play a crucial role in the delivery of the event. In return for your time, you receive lunch, kit, and amazing work experience. We will also enter you into a ballot for a free 2025 Brighton Marathon place!

Get involved

Volunteers undertake a variety of roles, including marshalling the route, handing out water and celebrating with finishers by handing out medals! We also have volunteer Tailwalkers, who keep the atmosphere high among our back of the pack participants.

We also have dedicated recycling volunteers who ensure as much waste as possible is recycled. These volunteers work on a Recycling Stations – ensuring that waste is separated and ready to be recycled. It’s a busy role with lots of interaction with participants, and you will either be at the Finish location in the Beach Village or at the Start in Preston Park.
