Start and Finish Locations
- The Brighton Marathon will start in Preston Park at 9.45am.
- The BM10k will start from the same location at 9.00am.
- The BM Ride will start and finish from the Velo Village on Hove Lawns at 7am.
- The Event Village on Brighton Beach is where Race Pack Collection will take place as well as seminars, shopping and more. This is situated here.
Parking will not be available in the immediate vicinity of all sites due to road closures so we advise any spectators to walk from Brighton Station or park outside of the road closures and walk in. Spectator walking routes and crossing points will be available in the Event Programme and on the website closer to the event. You will be able to view road closures here, closer to the event date.
Park & Ride
Participants and spectators can make use of our Park & Ride service on Race Day, which will offer shuttle buses to the Start and from the Finish.
We strongly advise against travelling into the city centre on the morning of the event as there will be road closures in place and parking restrictions.
Park and ride booking will open in early 2020.
Buses / Coach
Bus services will be subject to diversion on Race Sunday, so please do continue to check the Brighton & Hove Bus Company website for the most up to date travel information and full timetables.
London Gatwick is the closest airport and is 30 minutes away by train (trains run direct from the airport to Brighton mainline station) or 35-40 minutes by car.[checkfront item_id=”95,37,82″ category_id=”9,3,1″ options=hidesearch date=”20190412″ end_date=”20190415″]
If you are staying in or near Brighton taxis WILL be able to collect you and drop you close by to the Start area on Race morning. There will be road closures in place but routes are still possible across the city avoiding these closures and/or ahead of them being actioned.
If you are cycling to the event on Race Day, there are bike stands by the café in the centre of Preston Park where you will be able to lock your bike up. There is also a bike storage system at Brighton Station called (n+1) which has storage for over 500 cycles. You will need a key card from Southern Railway to use this – more info is available here: http://www.nplusone.bike/cycles#storage
There is also a list of bicycle parking available on the Brighton & Hove City Council website here.
