Is there an Event/Charity Village?

Hove Lawns will play host to separate Start and Finish Areas but due to the current Covid -19 guidance there will not be an Event Village or Charity Village in the usual Brighton Marathon Weekend fashion. There will not be any food or drink stalls, nor any dwelling area for spectators.

Where is the start/finish line?

The start line is on the Western End of Hove Lawns and the finish line is on the Eastern End of Hove Lawns. There will be separate finish lines for the 10k and marathon participants.

Where can I see my runner cross the line?

To avoid crowding, the finish line will be within the fenced off area. There are various places along the route that you may see your runner in action. Your runner will be sent full guidelines for spectators at the event nearer the time.

Can I bring spectators to The Edit?

Due to the ongoing guidance around social distancing we would ask you to consider whether you require a spectator at the event. Runners will be given one spectator pass, which is linked to the runner number and their start wave. Spectator passes will grant access to the pre-start and repatriation areas and will be limited to certain time frames. They cannot be used outside of the allotted time window. Runners will not be granted any additional spectator passes under any circumstances.

Can my spectator bring children with them?

Unfortunately due to the current guidelines we are required to limit our spectators in the Start and Repatriation areas to one per runner, this includes children of all ages.

How will I find my runner?

You should meet your runner in the repatriation area of the Finish Area. Each runner and spectator will have matching repatriation numbers and wave colour. Full details will be included in the Participant Instructions, which will be sent via email ahead of the event.

I lost something at the event

I bought an iTab, how do I get this?

Your details will be sent directly to iTab who will post your iTab to you post-event.

Can I take part on behalf of a charity?

We encourage all participants who have secured a place through us to choose a charity to fund raise for. You can either contact the charity directly to let them know you will be fundraising for them, or get started straight away by setting up a 'JustGiving' page for your chosen charity here.
