We would like to offer athletes looking to run a fast time at Brighton Marathon free entry into the 2019 event.

Category A runners will receive free entry plus accommodation and reasonable travel expenses. Category B runners will receive free entry only.

All prize funds will be for British athletes only. We will not be having an invited International Athletes field at the 2019 Brighton Marathon.

If you meet the standards set out below you can apply for an elite runner entry in the Brighton Marathon 2019. If your application is successful you will receive complimentary entry and will have the opportunity to start at Withdean Park, which is the start reserved for elite / club runners.

Your qualifying time must have been achieved after 1 January 2017.

Category A:

Free entry, accommodation* and reasonable travel expenses

*There will be limited accommodation in the event hotel – all accommodation enquiries and requests can go to elites@brightonmarathon.co.uk.

To apply for an elite runner entry, please contact elites@brightonmarathon.co.uk with a link to your Power of 10 page, or provide a link to the results of the race where you achieved your qualifying performance.

Your qualifying time must have been achieved after 1 January 2017.

Applications must be received by March 1st 2019.


Opportunity for Masters Athletes to Qualify to Represent England

England Athletics registered athletes who are competing in the Brighton Marathon can earn the right to represent England in a target marathon in autumn 2019. (For full details please see www.englandathletics.org/athletes/england-athletics-team/road-running/england-age-group-marathon).

Prizes will be awarded to the fastest V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60, V65 and V70 Men and Women finishers at the 2019 Brighton Marathon. Prizes will be awarded based upon the finisher Chip Time, and not the Gun Time.
