Event Day

The 2019 BM Ride will take place on Sunday 14 April at 7:00am starting and finishing on Hove Lawns at the Velo Village.

Bikes

BM Ride is for all types of cyclist. Take part on your road bike, mountain bike, folding bike … it’s up to you.

However, there are restrictions on some types of bikes you can use. Please check our FAQS to find out which bikes are forbidden for health and safety reasons.

Confirmation Email

When you sign up you will receive a confirmation email, confirming your place. Please keep this safe and file it, as you will need it to collect your Rider Pack. It will also be re-sent in the weeks preceding the event – this will be from ‘Grounded Events Company’.

If you need to change your details on your entry, please log back in here with the email and password you used to sign up and amend as necessary: myevents.active.com 

Rider Pack Collection

All participants in the BM Ride must collect their Rider Packs from the Brighton Marathon Weekend Event Village on Brighton Beach on Friday 12 or Saturday 13 April 2019. Your pack will contain your participant number and timing chip.

You will also collect your official 2019 BM Ride casquette and goody bag at this stage.

The 2019 course map is available to view online here and will also be included in your Participant Instructions closer to the event. More details will be added to the course in coming months.

Rider Emails

We send all participants regular e-newsletters. These contain helpful advice articles as well as event updates on a range of topics including essential information such as Participant Instructions, maps, event status, travel, park & ride and medical information. We advise that all participants receive these but you can opt out from them if you wish. If you do opt out and decide you would like to opt back in, please email office@brightonmarathon.co.uk

Accommodation

If you need accommodation for the 2019 Brighton Marathon Weekend, we recommend you book in advance to secure a room at the best rates as the city gets very busy over event weekend.

Medical Advice

Your safety and wellbeing is of the utmost importance to us.

No matter your experience or ability, please take time to read our medical advice before you begin your training. It’s important to not only assess your physical ability, but to find out more about energy supplements, fluids, fuel and whether any medications may have an impact on your training.

This will be made available to all entrants closer to the event.

It is not possible to defer BM Ride places.
