What does registering my interest mean?

By registering your interest you will have an exclusive chance to sign up for the 2018 Brighton Marathon when entries reopen. Only people who sign up to the registered interest list will have the opportunity to purchase a general entry when we reopen.

By registering my interest am I guaranteed an entry into the Brighton Marathon 2018?

No, you will not be guaranteed an entry in Brighton Marathon 2018. By registering your interest you will have the opportunity to purchase a general entry when entries reopen. Places will be limited.

What period will the register your interest be open?

Register your interest will be open from 10am on Tuesday 12th September until 5pm on Friday 3rd November 2017.

Is it a ballot?

No. You will receive an email with information and instructions on how to enter 48 hours ahead of entries opening. Places will be first come, first served.

How do I know if my ‘register your interest’ has been successful?

If you have completed the register your interest form you will receive an email confirming this, please check your spam and junk folders if you do not think you have received this.

When will I receive instructions of how to enter?

If you have completed the Register Your Interest form you will receive an email with information and instructions on how to enter 48 hours ahead of entries opening.Please make sure you know your Active log in details ahead of entries opening as you will need this to enter and we expect entries to sell fast. You will have used this to register your interest.

I registered my interest but I haven’t received an email with entry details…

Please first check your junk / spam / clutter or promotions inboxes as emails can often end up there. If you haven’t received an email from us with details of how and when to enter by Tuesday 7th November at 5pm, please contact office@brightonmarathon.co.uk

How much will entries cost?

Entry price will be included in the email sent out 48 hours ahead of entries opening. You are not obliged to enter if you register your interest.

Once entered, can I get a refund?

You can cancel and get a refund up until Monday 13th November at 5pm. Please email office@brightonmarathon.co.uk

Can I take part in a wheelchair?

Yes but only non-racing wheelchair users will be permitted to take part for health and safety reasons. If you wish to enter in a non-racing wheelchair, you will start at the rear of the race, again for health & safety reasons. We strongly advise you are accompanied by an able-bodied runner throughout the 26.2 miles due to the course terrain and density of runners in some areas (we can help find someone to do so if you require) but you can take part independently if you wish. When entries open, please tick the relevant box regarding wheelchair entries on the form and a member of the team will be in touch.
